BACKGROUND
Despite the technologically advanced society we live in, there are some objects that have yet to be digitised for our travel. Either that or the benefits of carrying them physically greatly outweighs carrying them as a digital copy, since you can never be sure about the accessibility to technology while overseas. Some examples of these objects include: your cash, tickets, brochures, postcards and cards. These items often reduce the quality of our experience as we fumble and tumble to look for them in our bags.
Hence, we decided to formulate a solution for a traveller's most common problem - the travel clutter. daypocket serves to provide a simple way for travellers to manage their travel clutter prior and during the trip.
POCKET + BOOK
Daypocket is a novel idea of combining pockets and a notebook into a singular unit. Instead of managing several items on their travel, users will only need to manage a single item - daypocket. Each page consists of 3 pockets of different sizes designed for objects of different shapes and sizes. The design and sizes of the pockets are derived only after much consideration, based on the users’ needs. Made of paper, users can write/sketch/draw directly on the pages.
A lot of time and effort has been pumped into the project, and we hope that daypocket will be a product that makes a difference to people who face this particular problem. Also, we hope that daypocket will inspire people to look at the conventional notebook in a new light.

Detach & Attach
Every page can be easily detached and re-attached. Users can customise the number of pages depending on their days of travel. The pages are bound by a band at the groove, and lays completely flat when opened.

Daypocket also encourages creativity - just draw and sketch on them if you see anything interesting along the way, or if you are just bored and want something to doodle on.

The possibilities of the usage for daypocket is endless, it can not only used for travel, but also for daily activities, such as budgeting, events planning, ideas collection and such.
