The new generation, however, is less tolerant of toxic behaviors from their supervisors. Just a couple of months ago, Forbes published an article about how Gen Z employees are revenge-quitting because they believe that respect, flexibility, and well-being at the workplace are non-negotiable. Dr. Laura tells Bored Panda that she observes a similar trend. "On average, Gen Z has less tolerance for toxic leadership and abusive behaviors at work."

She notes how the younger generation values mental health support and is more open to talking about how bullying is unacceptable. "They tend to value collaboration and authenticity, and as managers, will more likely espouse those values. That said, we can never generalize across a generation as that is stereotyping, and there is much diversity across each generation," Dr. Laura points out.
