Today I Began Releasing 5 Years Of My Travel Photo Library

For the past 5 years my wife and I have been living the expat dream in Qatar - money and lots of time to travel.
As we transition out of Qatar over the next six months and come back down to earth, I have begun releasing my travel photo library from more than 20 countries (and counting). This is part of a larger, overall project, however this one has special meaning to me.
Before getting into my current career path of web development and photography (the two can coexist), I was on the path to be a career academic in Roman archaeology. When I decided that teaching and research was not for me (and after 8 years of post secondary education), I changed paths into communications > web design > web development > photography > communications > whatever I am doing now). The internet provided me with a never-ending source of learning material. It provided me resources to retool myself from the ultimate unemployable to someone who could contribute meaningfully to any organization I joined.
I hope that the release of this library will help someone else - whether it be on their own blog, creative project, web template, who knows!

Tallinn, Estonia at sunrise - a photo for free download in July.

As part of my transition to an entrepreneur space, we traveled to Tallin, Estonia to pick up my E-Residency credentials and meet with a bank to open a business account. Worth the trip!

From the Isle of Skye - available now for download as part of the premium collection.

We spent 10 days in 2015 driving around Scotland including 3 days dedicated just to Skye. We could not have asked for a better landscape.

Hiking the citadel in Budapest at sunrise.

Budapest is still one of my favourite European cities. I am partial to the Pest side of the Danube though if I have to take sides.

Drifting off the coast of the Seychelles.

We were in the Seychelles for a wedding of two of our best friends. This was a truly unforgettable weekend (yes I know we are very privileged).

The view of Bogota from Monserrate.

My wife is Colombian Canadian so we make a biannual trip down to Bogota to visit family and enjoy the country. A trip to Monserrate is almost obligatory.

Dodging traffic in Doha's West Bay downtown in Qatar.

Our current home. We actually live around the corner from here. All the craziness of Doha can be best observed at night when the lights are all on and traffic is manageable.

A walk through the ultimate green fields of Ubud, Bali.

One of our first trips since being in Qatar, we had the pleasure of attending a wedding here (it's becoming a trend, I know). The green in Bali is truly amazing.

Broadway in Nashville.

In 2015 we drove from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Miami, Florida, USA in one massive road trip in July. It was epic.
