To Play Or Not To Play That Is The Question Of To Be

I’m a female board game inventor with a big heart for art. I live in Berlin Germany.

Ever since I can remember I’m drawing and learning all about art and games and other interesting things in the world. I daily feel like an explorer looking for this ONE thing, that could change and make better someone's life...also mine of course:) It's not so, that my job hurts me, but I think there is more potential outside 9 to 5?! And to be in a job means to be too serious for life, don't play and have no permission to experimenting. Is'nt it so?

In 2004 I was awarded from the jury game of the year & SAZ for innovative prototypes of board games. Since this time I invest all I have: my freetime, my heart, my brain, my soul, my passion and all my money to develop this ONE thing with a playfully effect, as well to combine art and game. A long and a intense way, but I'm still concentrated to follow my dream: At the end leaving the world a little bit better than I found her. I think every one of you will think in the same way?!

For me my life is art and playing and vice versa. To play means to experiment. To play means to be.

I founded a new concept which allows to be artist and player –both at the same time. The name is Tellbricks (from to tell.) Tellbricks are bricks -similar LEGO®- with different motivs that can combined to artworks, pictures and stories. The bricks find their application in different contexts. The fields of application range from increasing concentration, through training creativity and imagination, to storytelling and use them as 3d objects in artworks. Due the special depth of the drawings, the bricks have a meditative and balancing effect. Through the kind of visual experimenting the subconscious mind will activates and expresses his knowledge. The inner artist and narrator awakes and are designing where words are missing.

Tellbricks touch deeply and change the view of things in a uniquely creative and constructive way.

When I started in 2012 with my students age 6-11 years old, I was surprised how meditative & calmful they could stay and how long the concentration hold on. It seamed that they were in a flow and nothing could bring them out of this process. The same was with adults.

Now six years later after all the test and experiments I can say: I think I found a little piece of the ONE thing that could change the life of someone or make it better. Try it and see what happens to you and your view of life. And hear my advice: Try to play more to be in life!!!
