To do a bigger painting with two pandas in it, I need to make sketches and studies of my subject.
This timelapse is video of such a study in one tone of watercolour, a dark blue/brown mix.
I really enjoy searching for composition and anatomic features while painting animals. I just start with a blank paper or canvas and start exploring.
