"Cartoon Princess" is a filter on Instagram that turns you into a cartoon character and it has been going viral over the past few days, amassing over 4 million shares and hundreds of millions of views, and the attention of various celebrities.
Users have been creating fun photos and videos wearing the filter, many cosplaying as their favorite cartoon characters. The creator said she has been tagged in thousands of stories, and also is getting cross-platofrm shares on Twitter and Tiktok.
Paige Piskin is well known in the AR filter space and has had a variety of viral filters including one called "lil icey eyes". Her filters have gained recognition from stars like Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid, Emrata, Sam Smith and Billie Eilish. Musician Grimes recently used a few of Paige's filters in her music video "I am Dark".
To use the filter, users simply visit the creator Paige Piskin's profile (@paigepiskin), and click the filter tab that looks like a smiley face and you'll see the Princess filter at the top. You can also search "Cartoon Princess" in the filter gallery search tool via stories.
