Hi! I'm Norville, and this big brindle softie is my best friend Ambrose. I came to the pound some time after Ambrose, I was terrified! Strange people, strange place, new smells I just didn't know how to come with it all. The people tried to coax me but I was just to frightened. The people thought perhaps gentle giant Ambrose would help me, he coped really well in the kennels and was always so happy to see people, I instantly trusted him and he has helped me overcome my fear of people, I'm still unsure on walks, traffic and strangers, strange dogs its all a bit too much for me still but with Ambrose at my side I try my best to concur these feelings.
The people are now thinking I'm ready to go to a new home, and they're hoping someone will be willing to take my best friend too as I'm not ready to be parted from him. Life just wouldn't be the same without my guardian angel who saved me from my own fears.
We're good dogs, we don't pull on the lead and are pretty good at not peeing in the home room, Ambrose taught me how to climb on the sofa for a nap, he's a champion snoozer! I don't really know how to play with toys, but Ambrose really enjoys cuddling his soft toys, though the big softie doesn't like it when they squeak! He thinks that he's hurt them, he's slowly trying to teach me but I'm still a bit spooked.
I'd really benefit from a home with lots of time and love, I could cope with older children but young, loud people are too much for my sensitive nature.
If you think you might be able to offer me and Ambrose a forever home, to love us and nurture us please contact my carers at Stray Aid.
