Nothing is more beautiful that a smile that has struggled through years and tears and these photographs are no exception….
Collin Krauthamer, a left handed and curious photographer, visits old people's homes and asked them to think about their fondest memories.
He does it because people don't have photos of themselves when they are old - as if that's something shameful - so he does it to give these people, and their families, something to hold on to.
"I would ask them to remember holding their first child for the first time, or think about the first time they knew they were in love."

BIO:
Collin is based in Glen Ellen, CA ...he makes pictures because he thinks it's the most worthwhile way to employ his skills. He studied photojournalism at the recently defunct Brooks Institute of Photography. He now works a lot with the wine industry and sells prints to collectors.
