Hi! I'm from Spain and during the last couple of years I've compiled a list with all the idioms/expressions in English from TV Shows and movies that I love to watch in V.O. and compare how they translate them in my language. Almost a year ago I started the instagram account @colorme_curious (https://www.instagram.com/colorme_curious/) to share them with other people (234 so far!) with short video clips and the transcript to put them in context so their meaning it's better understood. Sometimes I find an expression in English in a TV show but then they change the meaning completely in the translation and I can't use it but most of the time it's very interesting how they find a match. I'm not an English teacher (far from it) so corrections and suggestions are always welcome. Here are some examples. Hope you like it!
