As a landscape photographer myself,there is nothing that I love better than a beautiful fresh morning on the top of the world! And when the view just swipes you off your feet, you can definitely predict a good day ahead.
This is a pretty remote area in the Romanian mountains. The only access there is by foot and i guarantee it will be an awesome but difficult ascending. There are plenty of flora and fauna on the way up and beautiful and wild landscapes.
We left the car behind us and start the ascending around 14 pm that day. The route was hard and we all started feeling the fatigue after 2-3 hours. We were heading for the only cabin there and it was almost getting dark. To make things worse there was a huge storm coming towards us and the thunders and lightnings were roaring closer and closer. Our backpacks were getting heavier by the minute :P
We speed up a bit and somehow made it just in time before the storm unleashed upon us. I was tired and in a bad mood, i barked at everybody else to not wake me up in the morning as i really wanted to just get some rest. But i was happy that the next day I will get the opportunity to wander around, take photos and chill.
At around 4 am I just woke up and saw the day trying to break through. Suddenly the fatigue was gone and a quick thought went through my mind..."there probably should be a great sunrise this morning, maybe i should just grab the camera and go."
Did i mention that I managed to wake everybody up in my effort to get dressed, get my gear and silently get out of the cabin. :) Well, they thanked me later!
