Some comic books characters stay with us through our childhood. Some even stay a whole lot longer. For the artist who hides behind his Mr Jackpots persona, the latter is more accurate. The classic European comic book characters are the ones that remind him of the years long gone and still ignites his creativity.

 

Lucky Luke, Thorgal, Tin Tin or Asterix might not ring a bell if you’ve been raised on American comic books, but in Europe, those characters had the same impact on youth and culture.
