This Artist Duo Created A Hologram Jukebox ... And You Can Even Select A Miniature Pole-Dance Performance!

Here at Studio McGuire, we love to experiment with cutting-edge technologies and combine our individual skills into something brand new and exciting.

Drawing on Davy’s background in theatre and Kristin’s training as a dancer, our projects are full of visual wonders and retro feels.

Our latest work, Hologram Jukebox, is a vintage-style jukebox in which the artists appear as miniature holograms to perform when you select a song.

From Elvis Presley impersonators to Burlesque performers, rock bands, rappers or pole dancers... simply insert a coin, select your song and watch the magic unveil!

We worked with an organisation called Back to Ours who are all about bringing high quality acts to people's doorsteps in hard to reach areas in Hull. In fact, almost all of the artists are Hull-based, which makes the project a true community work.

The idea was to link up artists with new audiences and vice versa. The versatility of the installation means that it could be taken to all sorts of contexts: from music venues, to old people's homes, hospitals, festivals - you name it.

And the unexpected bonus: there is no need for social distancing!
