When asked about any topics that stood out to him in the thread, u/Diligent-Log6805 said, "There seemed to be a pattern where guys feel like women give nonverbal cues and expect men to correctly interpret those cues instead of clearly saying what's on their minds."

To get around these barriers and allow men and women foster harmonious relationships, u/Diligent-Log6805, who is a husband and a father himself, believes that communication is key. Especially when there's a disagreement.
"Basically, try to at least talk and let each other know how you feel about something. [Also,] a little empathy and patience go a long way," he added.

That's true. While all relationships are different and each one has its own unique ups and downs, being able to talk to your partner means that you'll be able to share your worries, show support for one another, and work together to handle conflict more effectively.

This can also translate to our overall well-being. For example, one study found that when people feel that their partner values them, they are more likely to sleep better.
