Learned lots the hard way or from others. Here are some tips.
1. Brake before you get to the bump or pothole in the road, then ease up the brakes as you go over it. It’ll save your brakes.
2. Make enough for your dinner for two nights, so you always have leftovers for tired nights.
3. Turn on the fan in the kitchen and bathroom five minutes before you need it on to create a draft and keep the air clean.
4. When it’s cold outside, put your coat on a few minutes before you leave. It’ll warm you up before you head out. They do this in Russia. They know how to handle it.
5. Blue bread ties apparently means the bread was baked on Monday, green means Tuesday, Thursday is red, Friday is white, and yellow means the bread was baked on Saturday. Wednesday and Sunday do not have colors because, according to Seon, deliveries do not happen on those days.
6. Absolutely, positively brush your teeth at least twice a day. It can prevent heart disease later on, and you’ll be kicking yourself for shortening your life.
7. If you’re hurting, it’s not “growing pains.” Go to the doctor or hospital, if it’s that serious.
8. Stay away from carbonated beverages. They lead to bone loss as you get older.
9. Keep a budget and start saving money and investing as soon as you can so you’ll have money when you retire.
10. As much as you may dislike your job, stick with it until you’re totally vested in their retirement plan. Social Security isn’t enough yo pay your rent and put food on the table.
11. No matter how imperfect the world is, look for the bright side.
