These Shapeshifting Zodiac Symbols Create Mesmerizing Patterns

It's been years I'm passionate about graphic design and astrology. Recently I had an inspiration to combine both in an original way and create smooth morphings from one zodiac symbol to another. After a lot of in-depth research about the different existing ways to morph shapes, I found a really elegant technique that allowed a natural and organic feel. Credits go to Marc Alexa, Daniel Cohen-Or and David Levin for their amazing work on this technique, published in their article "As-Rigid-As-Possible Shape Interpolation". I implemented my own morphing and rendering toolbox based on this technique. Then I started to play around with the symbols' shapes, watching them transform into patterns I'd never have expected. It took me several weeks to explore many of the morphing possibilities (several hundreds). I carefully selected those that looked more interesting and blended them together. It was a lot of work and at the same time a lot of fun to design these morphings. Hope you enjoy watching these fascinating metamorphoses of the zodiac symbols!
