Finding out what exactly your babysitter does when you're not at your house is almost as impossible as figuring out what your cat is up to when you leave him alone at home. They know when you're watching.
But, what happens when you leave your kids with a babysitter? Are you sure you can trust her? Do you think she’s taking proper care of your children while you’re running out and about or having a nice time with your friends/significant other? Most parents just don’t have any other choice than hiring a stranger to look after their children while they’re at work or busy with other stuff. Either they don’t have anyone else to rely on or just don’t want to bother their relatives too often, they just hope that the babysitter that looks quite trustworthy and decent from the first sight will make sure that their kids are safe and sound during the time they’re not with them.
Fortunately, most babysitters are great caring professionals. However, sometimes nannies get frustrated, tired, lazy, weird or too comfortable at your house and do some ridiculous things. Some moments are just funny, embarrassing and innocent. But other nannies really go overboard, as the things they occasionally do while staying at people’s houses and minding their young children sound quite alarming and disturbing.
From attacking clients’ fridges and pantries to sneak yummy snacks and ice-cream, sending kids to bed early to watch Netflix, telling horror stories and ridiculous lies to make children listen, letting kids watch too much TV not to entertain them with something else to lying parents about what they did during the day, using little ones to attract cute guys, creeping around the house, bribing kids so that they don’t tell what babysitter said/did wrong, traumatizing kids and engaging in secret relationships with parents, the stories babysitters anonymously tell via Whisper (app for anonymous confessions) are just striking.
A few of these will certainly make you secretly investigate your babysitters’ behavior or even question your decision to let one of them watch your kids. Hope you won’t get tempted to set up nanny cameras at your house. Enjoy!
