Great talents have come together with similar passions, and created magic. Over 30 local artists from New York and New Jersey have used their superpowers to share their artwork, spread kindness within the community and lift others up through a simple act.
The artists created incredible painted stones which they have donated to United Hospice of Rockland for permanent placement at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence, a facility that provides the essential services of honoring life, bringing comfort and giving care to those who are seriously ill.
This public art project has achieved a unique bond among kindred artistic spirits, allowing the artists to share their creativity while contributing to an important cause during the pandemic.
This collaborative community project was made possible by Rockland County Art in Public Places, the Nyack Art Collective and the Arts Council of Rockland and coordinated by artist and curator, Lisa D’Amico. Please follow the hashtag #PublicArtRocks to see more of the artists’ creations.
