My main reason for visiting Armenia was to see and experience winter as I have never seen snow before, lol! So, when I found a deal on Holiday Factory, my room mates and I booked the flight and hotel immediately.
We stayed in the capital - Yerevan. We also visited some other cities - Lake Sevan, Geghard, Garni and Tsaghzador.
I brought along a Fujifilm X-T1 with XF 16-35mm lens (their weather resistant lens). After years of living in tropical (The Philippines) and desert (United Arab Emirates), I've witnessed snow for the very first time! And it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!
I have posted photos of this trip on my Instagram account in coloured as well. Now I have decided to post photos of it in black and white. And the results, amazed me! There is really something about snow in black and white. The photos that you are about to see were all taken in Lake Sevan.
In Lake Sevan

Sevan which literally means black monastery in Armenian.

My hangover was cured after I climbed the medieval monasteries in Lake Sevan.

Can you see the polar bear foot prints? Jk! On my way to the top of the mountain.

Lake Sevan is located in the central part of Armenia, in the Gegharkunik Province.

Don't you love those moody clouds?
