Perhaps, in my career of guiding foreign photographers to Vietnam, the photographer crew from Turkey in July gave me the strongest impression. They were professional photographers in the SSS club from Turkey, choosing Vietnam to be their destination to take photos. Their crew includes of 19 people: men and women with all ages.
I am also a member of this club. I held a special program stretching along Vietnam to introduce my beautiful country to them, besides I hope my country can be an inspiration to help them make photograph.
Hanoi was their first destination. They were totally impressed by the ancient city with lots of long-lasting values. The young, graceful girls in traditional custom (ao dai),walking in the Temple of Literature, a combination between traditional custom and ancient architecture. In the early morning, upon seeing, they ceaselessly shoot images of people buying and selling in the fruit market at the foot the Long Bien Bridge. Leaving Hanoi, we headed to Sapa, the poetic highlands with mountains and forests, terraced fields and diversity of culture with many ethnic minorities. Hue was our next destination, a central of Vietnam with many mausoleums, temples of the feudal kings and lords, filled with the one-time history of Vietnam. Its beauty made the photographers constantly take photos.
There are so many beautiful sights with the various activities, through the eyes of the photographers, the photos are everywhere. Once again, I took them to the sluggish Thu Bon river and the ancient houses in the old quarter area.
Every day, we wake up early in 4 am to see sunrise in my country. The sunrise is high valuable asset that mother nature grant to the photographers. So there is no reason for us to not wake up early and forget all the previous hard work. Sometime, we see sunrise on the river, sometimes, on the rice field, and sometimes on the salt-marsh when the salt worker harvest salt from 3, 4 a.m.Leaving Hoi An, Nha Trang, Doc Lech with the friendly salt workers, we headed to the South, next to the sacred land of Champa, the hot Phan rang. The sparkling color of these land drove the Turkey photographers from surprise to surprise, memory card and hard drive is not enough for this trip.
Then we went to the Western part of Vietnam, where Mekong river flows rapidly all day long. There is no photographers get bored when coming here – the river land with friendly people, and plenty of selling, buying, life activities on the boats. The 16-day trip end with the deep regret of the photographer about the passing time and their wishes to take more photos of my country. Yes, my Vietnam is beautiful and in the eyes of every tourists and especially with the photographers .. when coming to Vietnam bring with you a lot of memory card and hard drives because pictures are everywhere.
In the 16th day, we parted and the attached handshakes and hugs made us hold back our tear because photograph is the language connecting all messages of love and peace to everywhere. See you again when we together compose more in my country. Do not hesitate to ask me anything if you want to come to Vietnam, especially to take photos.
