I was born in to an army family in Lucknow, Uttar-Pradesh, India and brought up in about 17 cities across India till I graduated & settled down in Bangalore. Interest for photography started when I first held the Pentax camera my Dad used to have. Since then there has been no looking back. Capturing moments, creating memories has become a quite essential part of my life.
What kind of a photographer am I? Well I click a little bit of everything, Portraits, Weddings, Architecture etc. but most interesting of all Scale Models. For me to create beautiful images I need to create a scene that looks like a real-life scenario. This takes somewhere between 2 to 6 hours depending on the figures & accessories that go in to creating this scene. The scale I work on is 1:87 commonly known as HO scale.
My interest in Miniature photography started when my best friend gifted me few HO scale figures. Least did she know that it would interest me to such an extent that I would end up having a collection of over 1000 figures, 50 models and still counting. It’s been 10 years since I got my first camera & 6 years since I got my first set of figures. Miniature photography gives my imagination a platform to be converted in to a story that these tiny scale models help me narrate. I call It creative photography. I have been featured in few National Newspapers & City Radio channels for my work in Miniature Photography.
