Even though Albatrosses take 10 years to mature sexually, they are in no rush to find their soul mate. Young Albatrosses sit back and learn from their elders, learning the mating ritual. Which includes dancing, preening, steering, pointing, and vocalisation. In a few years the bird will start dancing, and at first they dance with many dance partners. After a few more years of practise and learning, they cut down their dancing circle until they have found the dance partner they want to be with for the rest of their lives.
