With no paint involved, I had so much fun creating this ornately decorated egg to celebrate my favourite season, Spring. Taking over 100 hours to make, this polymer clay artwork covers a blown goose egg, with thousands of intricate pieces of polymer clay inlaid to create the birds, blossoms and leaves. I then made a nest, cherry blossom flowers, buds and leaves to nestle and support the egg. After baking everything in my home oven, I hand sanded and polished the egg until it is as smooth as glass.
