Nearly every person working on this cinematic Halo short film project has played Halo growing up. They ranged from film industry professionals to military veterans, professional actors to warehouse workers.
This rag-tag team of devoted fans volunteered over 6,000 hours of labor into realizing their dreams of a live-action Halo movie centered around the Master chief--and that's just for the proof of concept trailer.
It took 1.5 years to plan and shoot this trailer in 4.6K on an Ursa mini.
Right now they're on Kickstarter as S-117: Halo Fan Short Film and asking for support.
If you believe a truly cinematic Halo Universe around the Master Chief should be made, please share this post and visit S-117film's Kickstarter.
S-117 Halo Fan Film - Proof of Concept shot in 4.6K
My jaw dropped when all the game parts and lore came together in such gorgeous picture quality.
The handler isn't short, their Master Chief is literally 7'2"

This suit took over two prop builder veterans over 4,000 man hours to make from scratch.
John, (yes his name is actually John) is 6'11" and he painted the armor himself while Phil (on the right) crafted the parts from EVA foam and rubber.
At the threshold of childhood dreams...
