Women are often portrayed as sexual objects of desire, whose aim is to please and serve the male viewer. They are often punished for their feminine beauty by men who treat them with disrespect, by believing they have the right to be sexually suggestive or invasive due to the way they look. Alex Manchev aims to prove that women, even naked are not weak, helpless or submissive, nor just means for sexual fantasy and satisfaction to men. His photographic series 'The Freedom Project' show raw feminine nudity as a statement and expression of power and control of women own bodies, homes, lives and representation.
To change people's perception of what it is to be a woman, 30 of my best raw beauty shots have the chance to make it to you, in person, face to face, or not really. The Freedom Project is coming to live in Sofia, Bulgaria and you can be among the first to see it. To make it happen though, I do need your support. Support through your kind hearts and will to make my dream come true. Any fund donated to the exhibition is going to be devoted for framing and printing of the photographs. And we, together as a community shall make the difference.
