We love talking about art and creativity. So I could not stop talking about Harmonia Rosales. The Afro-Latina artist is recreating great works of art history from the Afro perspective. It has recreated Renaissance works by artists such as Michelangelo, but also has its own works influenced by Renaissance.
One of the most impressive works is his version of "The Creation of Adam". It inserts blackness into spaces where it has been erased. For us, who were led to believe in a holiness attached to the masculine and white, it is an aesthetic pleasure to see black women expressing beauty and creation.
