Teaching Arm Knitting Is The Highlight Of My Week!!

I fell in love with a picture of a chunky wool blanket. I HAD to make one. The obsessive shopping for the best yarn for the best price began. I was looking at 100% merino wool in all of the beautiful colors available. I was also looking for something to get here quickly. Because I HAD to make that blanket NOW!!
So after much Etsy cruising, I found I couldn't get any from the US. Most of the Etsy sellers are from Eastern Europe and I didn't have that kind of time. I NEEDED IT!!
So I settled for ordering from an Italian source. Who shipped it to me from Russia. Not the fast way.
So, I acted. I opened my own chunky wool shop and now I get to spend the quality parts of my day helping others know that they can do it! There are videos that are at www.artizenhome.com/p/videos that explain arm knitting step by step!
People sometimes worry they won't be able to, but so far I haven't sound someone I couldn't teach this.
Why try it? Magically soft wool. I know - allergies. I got ya! I actually have an EpiPen that I have to carry. However, I have had no trouble with my allergies when using merino wool for armknitting. No promises, but I've had great luck with it. For anyone about to comment that it's hypoallergenic I would say that I don't have the science to back that up so I won't say it. Also, if it has been dyed, that can affect people. My policy is to send a small sample to those who are worried about it. I've been restricted my whole life by allergies and want to empower others where I can.
So, if you're interested come visit! If you think it is cool but you aren't sure you are ready you can always practice with multiple strands of regular yarn. If you want one bit don't have the time, energy, or inclination to make one, you should visit too! We have some amazing finished products.
Also, for the naysayers, yes it is actually wool roving that I am using. I've not had any issues with blankets falling apart. They have withstood children, cats, and husbands with big feet. There is some initial shedding, but that stops after a couple of weeks. It is dry clean only so please don't wash one! I know you are dying for some laundry and that is the first thing you want to do, but control the impulse!!!
