The OP told Bored Panda that the question was prompted from a conversation with their sister who works as a teacher. “She was telling me about a student who was your classic troublemaker (bad grades, etc.). She had recently found out that he went on to start a very successful start-up tech company of some sort.
“My sister mentioned that she knew he was really smart but just didn't care to apply himself in school. His grades reflected a below average student, but it was evident he simply did not care about anything he wasn't interested in,” they said.

I moved, and I always assumed he never finished school or went further with his education.
Years later, discover a news article that him (and 2 of my other classmates, which is impressive in a class of 28 people ) were playing for the England rugby team.
