The moon came closest to Earth for the first time since 1948, and people all over the world were tilting their lenses towards the sky with high expectations. It was supposed to look 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter, but there were a few... problems.
City lights and clouds blocked the amazing view in a lot of places. Supermoon became a super-disappointment and the frustration eventually evolved into a hilarious meme battle.
