Stressed Out? This Mental Health Initiative Let's You Crush What's Crushing You!

For this year’s International Stress Awareness Week, creative agency TBWA Singapore developed a project to bring awareness to the issues of anxiety and stress, in an engaging and entertaining way.
The pandemic has caused more stress and strain on our lives than many of us have ever experienced, yet people are still neglecting their mental health as they battle through the challenges of the past two years.
Introducing ‘The Covid Crusher’ – an opportunity to crush what’s been crushing you.
The initiative invites people to introspectively pick out the things that have been causing most stress in their lives – be it WFH, lack of socialising and dining out, being away from loved ones, or simply noisy neighbours – then to send objects representing these to the Covid Crusher. The team will then share a close-up clip of the related item being crushed in a visual feast that hopefully provides some mental satisfaction and relief.
With all the clips shared widely across TikTok and Instagram, the aim is to also highlight how many of the issues and anxieties weighing us down are also experienced by others – with relatability proven to help alleviate stress.
