Created by Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin, this R2D2 pie will help you bake your way toward becoming an Astro-mechanic droid yourself. There’s plenty of bells to jingle and boop-beeps to hear when this creation comes out of the oven!

For this project you will need:
Pre-fab pie shell (or your own from scratch)
Pre-fab roll out pie crust (or your own from scratch)
Can of pie filling (or your own from scratch)
Flour
Pasteurized egg whites
Vanilla extract
Black shoestring licorice
Assorted small candies
Fondant glue
Sharp knife
Fondant sculpting tools (optional)
Leaf cookie cutters
Food-safe paint brushes
Small mixing bowls
Pastry Brush
Cut out the shapes using a picture for reference.
Paste the shapes together.
Carve the details.
Transfer to pie.
Color wash and add leaves. Then bake.
When cooled, add candy details.
