In honor of my love for everything spooky I created a glass version of the iconic Hocus Pocus Spellbook. I sculpted the accessories from clay and moldable plastic and cast them in resin. I mixed crackled vintage opalescent glass to mimic a leather aesthetic and hand nipped different clear textured glass to give the impression of aging wrinkled page edges. The book box was assembled with the time honored Tiffany copper foil technique which lends a historical feel to a modern piece. of I haven’t decided if I should use the book to summon spirits or hide my candy stash.
