I recently met these three Hawaii based free divers and found out two of them are frontline healthcare workers. They work 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week, and like to freedive on their days off. I asked them if I could photograph them in the water and maybe have them act out their normal work day. Not only did they agree, but they showed up to the session with masks, a manual breather, two sets of scrubs with booties, weights to counter the buoyancy and just an amazing gung ho attitude. Enjoy a little abstract healthcare therapy from the frontlines of Hawaii!
