I was on a first date and things were going well. We were in the typical first date setting (dinner out), having a typical first date conversation about what we wanted in a partner, when things took a turn. She said, and I quote VERBATIM, "If my boyfriend didn't get me a custom ring -- ya know, something that was perfect for me, I wouldn't marry him because clearly he didn't put in the effort..." My blood began to boil, and I called her on her B.S. "You'd throw away your love for someone because he didn't get you the RIGHT piece of jewelry!?" To which she replied, "Well, yeah, cuz I deserve it, and if he doesn't give me what I deserve then clearly he doesn't value me enough..." The conversation devolved into an argument, and the evening ended with her crying and me feeling like a jerk, but COME ON! Am I right? Please say I'm right... Anyway, that night inspired me to make, "The Moon Ring." It's a real leather engagement ring box, but inside, there's no ring. Instead there's a little man, bent over, showing off his best side. When the box is opened, he farts...repeatedly...until the box is closed. Unfortunately I never got the satisfaction of giving it to her, but I've given it to quite a few others. Most of them laughed. Some didn't. Would you laugh? Or Leave?
