Lily Day, is a Bristol based artist who has an obsession with faces.
Having drawn her own face a mammoth 365 times last year, she found herself seeking inspiration for new subjects. By searching '#selfie' on Instagram, she now had an infinite number of unknowing potential candidates to pick from.
She would then spend hours painting these portraits before uploading them to Instagram and tagging the original person, very much to their surprise.
Lily's style of oil painting, with bold, and colourful strokes is far from a photorealistic interpretation; whilst most people loved their portrait, as we see in the short film below some people were not impressed at all.
