Bruce’s tale very nearly didn’t start at all. Four and a half years ago the bedraggled one-day old kitten was alone on a footpath in the rain.

Luckily he was spotted by a woman who was walking home from work. She took him home and fed him around the clock to keep him alive.
The kitten was named after that other famous orphan, Bruce Wayne.
The tiny kitten’s story went viral.
He now has over 74,000 social media fans from all over the world who hang on his every photo and exploit...
...including changing colour from grey to black!
Along with climbing trees and frolicking in the garden, Bruce now dedicates himself to raising awareness of other cats and kittens in need.
He’s also the star of a series of children’s picture books. His first book, Bruce Finds A Home, came out in 2018 to rave reviews.
Now Kathryn van Beek (Bruce’s human) has now written and illustrated a second children’s picture book called Bruce Goes Outside.
The book, which tells the story of a tiny kitten exploring the great outdoors for the first time, encourages children to care for and be kind to animals.
The book supports The Cat Rescue Network, a charitable trust dedicated to helping stray and abandoned cats and kittens.
Bruce is currently running a Kickstarter campaign which allows people to pre-order copies of the book.
There’s a range of rewards for those who pledge, including stickers, magnets, and even Bruce’s pawtograph!
