As a hardcore GOT fan, visiting Croatia was something that I had marked mentally in my mind for a long long time. The next step was to plan for a Europe trip where instead of doing the regular Milan, Venice archaeological sightseeing we decided to quench our thirst for Game of Thrones by visiting Croatia.
Although every corner of Dubrovnik and Split smells of Game of Thrones, there are some places that are more attractive to visit than others. We traveled in October'16 and made mind maps and some basic screenshots of the filming locations that we were surely looking forward to see in for real.
Lets show you what all we saw there

Where are my Dragons!!!!!!! Minčeta Tower (Dubrovnik’s Wall) as House of the Undying

King’s Landing harbor

King's Landing Harbour

Fort Lovrijenac (Dubrovnik) – Red Keep (King’s Landing)

The walled “Old Town” in Dubrovnik - the site of GoT‘s King’s Landing are like a trip back in time

Bokar Fortress from the walls of Dubrovnik Old Town

Outside the Walls of Dubrovnik Old Town

Ethnographic Museum - this is an impressive building dating back to the 16th century. Once a granary, it doubles for the brothel where Tyrion Lannister meets Oberyn Martell.

The Basement of Diocletian’s Palace (Split) – Daenerys’ Throne Room + Where Dragons are Kept

Pile Gate in Dubrovnik's Old Town entrance

Inside Dubrovnik’s Old Town, St. Dominic street – the Place Where Sparrows Were Preaching
