Almost everyone watched it and it was known in almost all places in the world. 'Sailor Moon' was a really important part of a lot of children's lives. To this day, there are a lot of fans of the show.
No wonder this character design challenge is so popular. People are reliving their childhoods and recreating one of the most iconic female figures in anime. The fun part is that everyone is creating artwork in their unique style: some create cute, some funny, some go all out and create an image fit to be in a remake of the anime.
