I have been photographing all corners of my big and beautiful India. I may love the markets and monuments but what captivates me the most is the Sadhus. These devout Hindu people have been around as long as Hinduism has existed. They have given up all material possessions, left their families and live a life of celibacy and piety. Covered in ash, which represents the death of the worldly life they are living a life in pursuit of moksha- total liberation from ignorance and desire. I have been photographing these holy men for years and always give them charity so that they can buy a meal.
