A sweet, tiny kitten appeared at the Sacramento SPCA after being rescued from a feral colony. He was immediately examined by the shelter medicine team for severe eye infections.
Unfortunately, both eyes had ruptured and required removal. They decided to name this little guy "Daredevil" -- because they just know he's a superhero in disguise!
Surgery was a success and Daredevil went home to foster with Dr. Cook, his surgeon, for recovery.
Less than a week later, a new kitten appeared with the exact same issue! Since she was a female, we named her Elektra. After surgery, she met her new BFF Daredevil and they became fast friends.
Although both are now completely blind, they intend to lead full, healthy (indoor) lives and continue to fight crime in the Sacramento area!
