Bored Panda reached out to Yuri to ask some questions related to his funny recreations.
Yuri introduced himself as a Muscovite that works as a holiday organizer. The idea to recreate outfits of famous celebrities came when he saw a photo of one Russian star. "My friends and I often come up with various activities at home, so I asked my friend to make a parody of the celebrity." When posting the picture on Instagram, Yuri didn't expect it to be that successful. After the picture went viral, he decided that he had to continue doing this.
Yuri didn't hide the fact that there are certain difficulties when doing parodies. "You need to come up with what the image can consist of and then pose for hours until you get the perfect photo." The blogger admitted that after a photoshoot, he usually cannot feel his hands and feet.
There are also some other unpleasant things that Yuri has experienced while doing a photoshoot. "Once we were in India and for a parody I needed a large grape leaf. After some time, I started having a rash and convulsions. It turned out that the leaf was poisonous."
We got curious which parody is Yuri's favorite. He shared that he really likes the parody of Elton John and Billie Eilish. However, his subscribers seem to enjoy the recreation of Beyonce and The Little Mermaid the most.
Since Yuri has more than 64,000 followers on Instagram, there's no surprise that some stars whose outfits he's recreating can come across the images as well. The blogger seems to be used to that. "Russian celebrities are constantly reacting to parodies. They like the images and write positive comments, sometimes even repost the picture on their page."
For the time being Yuri is working on parodies of clips. "So far I'm doing it of Russian celebrities, but soon I'll get to the clips of international stars."
