The Emmy award-winning actor has said how special his sons are to him numerous times. "One of the great gifts of my life has been having my boys, Matthew and Johnowen, and through them, exploring the mysterious, complicated, and charged bond between fathers and sons," Rob Lowe once wrote. "As my wife, Sheryl, and I raised them, I have discovered the depth of our relationship and the love and loss that flowed between my father and me."
Rob's parents divorced when he was four and it really took a toll on him. After the separation, he and his dad used to get together just during the weekends. "By the time Sunday rolled around, I was incapable of enjoying the day’s activities because I was already dreading the inevitable goodbye of the evening."
However, Rob didn't let these experiences get the better of him and raised two great young men. Matthew graduated from Duke University in 2016 while John got a degree from Stanford University in 2018.
