Hi bored Panda!
I just published my first illustrated children's book, STEM focused.
The book is about a young Red blood cell and his best friend Petey the platelet and their adventures.
It's crammed full of scientific accuracy hidden behind cute cartoons, and more alliterations than you can strongly shake a sturdy stick at! The alliterations serve two purposes. One kids love them, but more importantly to give kids more confidence when reading out loud, let me explain. When an adult reads to a child it is often perfect, while when kids read they have trouble and stumble over words. The book is somewhat designed to cause this in adult speech so the child can see they are not the only ones who have trouble reading *sometimes*. I designed this book with some real scientific detail because I believe we don't give children enough credit these days. If a child can learn to play fortnite in an afternoon they can learn some science too, it just has to be interesting and entertaining.
