Our team consists of 400 hardworking pandas who create content for 125 million followers on more than 100 social media channels. Bored Panda was named #1 Facebook page in 2017, and Crafty Panda became #1 page in 2020. This time, we are looking for a proactive PHP Developer to join our panda team remotely and to build, expand and enhance IT platforms whilst pushing innovation to the next level to keep Bored Panda as one of the leading media channels in the world!
Responsibilities:
- You will be creating various tools for the Bored Panda analytics and data teams;
- You will be developing IT infrastructure (microservice-based architecture, big databases, events tracking, etc.);
- You will be developing boredpanda.com website functionality;
- You will be communicating with other Bored Panda departments.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a developer;
- Significant experience working with PHP;
- Professional experience with MySQL;
- Understanding of OO principles and good code design;
- Experience in building highly scalable systems;
- Understanding of Git workflow.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with AWS;
- Experience in Python, Node.js;
- Experience working with Laravel/Symfony framework;
- Deep understanding of Wordpress CMS;
- Experience with Vue.js;
- Understanding of Git workflow.
