Shreya told Bored Panda that she is mainly inspired by other cartoonists and animators, especially their humor. She also wanted to build her own fan base, which led her to start creating cartoons.
Shreya's cartoons mostly depict everyday life, capturing moments from childhood and daily experiences. She focuses on relatable situations and memories, offering a glimpse into the simple, yet meaningful aspects of life.
While some of her comics humorously depict the everyday challenges women face, others delve into the deeper issues of societal double standards. Shreya reflects, "As a child, my parents always encouraged me to become a doctor, believing it would earn me more respect in society. Sadly, they never realized that, as a woman, we're often reduced to being just a collection of female organs."
"I usually draw inspiration from my own experiences or something interesting I've heard from a friend. Sometimes, it's just purely from my imagination," the artist shared, adding that these sources help bring unique and personal touches to their work.
Shreya enjoys making people laugh, and her biggest motivation comes from knowing that her cartoons bring smiles and laughter to others. "If my cartoons can make people laugh or smile, that's what inspires me the most."
