When I was sitting through art history classes, I always thought the old paintings could just be a little more fun. I pull the images from books, then add modern items that I find in advertisements and magazines. None of this is digital manipulation as I'm sure you can tell. It's not supposed to look like it's really a part of the original, just supposed to make you smile.
