Quarantine Dysfunctional Family

It’s already been 2 weeks of social lockdown. Please all be safe, protect others and let’s flatten the curve. We can do this together! Sadly I had to cancel all my photoshoots for the next couple of weeks and who knows maybe months. All these many awesome ideas I had and planned for photoshoots on hold, so I was thinking about my family and thought why not use them for my creative crazy outbursts. I want to do a family photo every week with my clearly dysfunctional family. These photos, I made yesterday were just a try out. Elias didn’t like it a bit and ran away from all the smoke, screaming he couldn’t stand the smell. My sweet Safa did her very best while coughing the smoke away. Fou just was in his element. Maybe next time should probably not use a smoke bomb with my kiddos.

Week 1 of our dysfunctional family ch(o)ronicles whilst on Covid-19 stay-at-home-order. Safa’s school closed and my hubby Fou works remotely from home. We were very lucky we found some rare toilet paper at Trader Joe’s and so now we have 12 rolls. Let’s just see how long we will survive with that. I decided to capture my looney family just the way they are. Also have to be completely honest about my youngest Elias. He normally walks around the house butt-naked most of the times, so especially for the photo we made him wear some underwear 🤪.

Good Friday quarantine pastime. Fou (always) reads and helps Safa with her online homeschooling. Elias stacks precious and rare toilet paper. Living on the edge. Nothing new, except that Bambam is not running around naked for a change 🤪.

Easter weekend quarantine reality. No egg hunt, no bunny, and certainly no standard picture perfect family shoot. A notorious dysfunctional Assa family depiction instead. Safa and Elias’ homeschooling craft morning with Fou. A stick, a bit of tape and some rope. Nothing glamorous, just the real deal.
