I'm Joven Barcelo, 27 years old from the Philippines, and I make art using MS PowerPoint.
By profession, I'm a licensed engineer and a researcher in our country's science ministry. But I also dabble in trainings and in preparing posts for our office's social media page, in which I use PowerPoint most of the time.
When the pandemic hit early 2020 and our office adopted work-from-hone atrangement, I found myself with a lot of downtime. To save myself from boredom, I tried exploring PowerPoint, challenging myself on what I can do with it. I'm only using a low-end laptop so I don't expect that it can run other softwares like Adobe Illustrator so I just use PPT because that's what I have.
So I started with cartoon characaters, then renowned buildings and structures in our country, then cars, and now, I try doing portraits and other famous paintings.
I still enjoy doing these artworks and share them in my personal social media pages for my friends to see.
