My Pop Art Pandemic Photographs Created Using Colored Flashes And Smoke

In the last fourteen days, I photographed and created a brand new series of still lifes called Pandemic Still Lifes. One of my favorite artist, painter Gerhard Richter says: "Art is the highest form of hope ... " In today's difficult times, it sounds much more but artists are experiencing truly difficult times. The galleries are closed and their sales are minimal or rather none. Theaters are also closed, so actors cannot play, there are no cultural events, musicians cannot perform ... I am an artist and I do not want to stand idle. So I decided to turn all the unpleasant nature of today's pandemic into a work of art, something visually beautiful!

And what is it? I chose six absolutely typical subjects - attributes that relate to today's pandemic, with which I shot a minimalist still life, in the spirit of pop art photography in which I create. I worked with artificial smoke to symbolize a malicious virus and flashes with color filtres. Specifically with the blue and red lights, which resemble beacons of the rescue corps (red and blue are the most commonly used rescue crops colors globally). All pictuers were photographed with common photographic procedures and with minimum post production. Just color balance anf few retouches - it is not photomontage. I took every picture with makro 100 mm lens and DSLR on tripod, the effect is coloured flashes going through smoke from smoke machine.

I decided to dedicate whole series and all photos to all people free of charge - they can be downloaded and used anywhere at will, shared in any way, and they can even be printed and framed also free of charge (I personally advise people who want to use them, on what form of adjustment to choose).
