I was reading an article where it was said that people who grew up with siblings often announce where they are going when they exit a room. Such as saying, "I'm going to the bathroom, be right back" It was also noted that only children did not. It was very interesting to read everyones experiences.
For instance, I have siblings and never really noticed that I will announce if I am leaving the room. I'm guessing it's likely that I learned to do this to let my family/ sister know if I was expecting to come right back so they shouldn't take my seat, change what's on the tv or move my stuff. How about you?

Huh, I do that. have 4 brothers and 3 sisters. We had an unwritten rule that if you weren't back in 5 minutes, you forfeited your seat and the TV.

I do not. The funny thing is that much like women, the room leaves me.
