I Take Magical Mermaid Images Inspired By Fairytales

My name is Savannah Kate Morgan of Savannah Kate Photography. I am a fairytale photographer located in Monroe, Louisiana. I have always used photography as a way to document how I see the world. I have used it as an escape sometimes, from reality. I believe that in going through the process of imagining a concept and bringing it to life, I collect pieces of myself, and awaken aspects that are buried deep down inside of me. I am highly influenced by fairytales such as Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, The Lady of Shallot- anything that is ethereal, whimsical, and promotes dreaming as a form of distorted reality. 

Though I am obsessed with all things whimsical and magical (unicorns, fairies, elves, etc.) mermaids are by far my favorite. Most of the images you are about to see are self-portraits, with a few exceptions. I have recently teamed up with world-renowned mermaid tail maker, Finfolk Productions, to photograph a tail from their new amazing line of Mythic tails.
